During my anthropology studies, I traveled to Lesbos after the old Moria camp — the largest refugee camp in Europe — had burned down. It was maybe the first fieldwork I had done so far. I collected life stories, testimonies of the fire, and documented how people navigated life in the makeshift replacement camp and during the early days of the COVID-19 epidemic.
