I lived in Suleimaniyah and Duhok for about five months, where I took an online journalism course after completing my anthropology studies and began my first work. During that time, I reported on refugee communities, youth movements, and the lasting impact of ISIS in the region — learning firsthand how people rebuild their lives in the shadow of war and political fragmentation.
